[Watch] “Shubman is one-quarter your age” - Bollywood wives gossip about Shubman Gill in Netflix series
Team India's top order batter Shubman Gill's name was discussed during a segment of the recently released season three of the Netflix series Bollywood Wives. During one episode, the protagonists spoke about people from the film and the cricketing fraternity who would be present for an event.
During the conversation, actress Neelam Kothari Soni enquired if Shubman Gill would be present. Responding to the query, Bhavana Pandey joked that Shubman was one-quarter of Neelam's age.
Notably, the Bollywood wives were also seen struggling to pronounce Shubman's name correctly. You can watch a glimpse of the segment below:
On the cricketing front, Shubman Gill is part of India's squad for their ongoing three-match home Test series against New Zealand. He missed the series opener in Bengaluru due to pain in his neck and shoulder.
The Men in Blue were bundled out for 46 runs in the first innings, registering their lowest-ever Test total at home. While the hosts fought hard to register 462 in the second essay, they ultimately suffered a heartbreaking eight-wicket defeat.

While Shubman Gill was unavailable for selection in the Test series opener between India and New Zealand, the youngster seems to be recovering well. The right-handed batter was seen doing some batting practise at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium following the completion of the first Test.
The 25-year-old batted against pacers Mayank Yadav and Prasidh Krishna, who are with the Indian squad as travelling reserves for the New Zealand Test series.

It is worth mentioning that Gill looked in fine form during India's two-match home Test series against Bangladesh in September. He delivered a stunning unbeaten 119-run knock in the opening fixture in Chennai.
Meanwhile, the second Test between India and New Zealand will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune from October 24. Despite the defeat in the first Test, India continue to be the table-toppers of the World Test Championship (WTC 2023-25) cycle with 98 points and 68.06 percentage of points .
