[Watch] Sidra Amin takes catch of the tournament contender in PAK vs UAE Women’s Asia Cup game
Pakistan’s Sidra Amin showed her brilliant athleticism by taking a catch-of-the-tournament contender in the Women's Asia Cup game against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Tuesday, July 23. With the catch, Pakistan reduced UAE to 37-2 in the ninth over.
Nashra Sandhu bowled a flighted delivery and Rinitha Rajith went for a big shot between mid-wicket and square leg. Amin ran to her right to complete the one-handed catch before falling onto the ground near the boundary. The Women in Green looked pumped up with the effort and celebrated the wicket in style.

Pakistan restrict UAE to 103 in Women's Asia Cup match
A clinical bowling display helped Pakistan restrict the UAE to 103/8 in the Women's Asia Cup game on Tuesday. Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sandhu, and Tuba Hassan bagged two wickets apiece for the Women in Green, while captain Nida Dar scalped one.
Wicketkeeper Theertha Satish starred with the bat for the UAE, scoring 40 runs off 36 balls with the help of five boundaries. Skipper Esha Oza and Khushi Sharma also chipped in with scores of 16 (26) and 12 (13). The remaining batters failed to reach even double digits.
Notably, Pakistan lost their opening game against India by seven wickets. They returned to winning ways by registering a nine-wicket win over Nepal, courtesy of openers Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali’s 57 and 46*, respectively.
The Nida Dar-led side would be keen to beat the UAE in their last group-stage game to reach the semifinals of the T20 event. Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. have already qualified for the semifinals from Group A. The two semifinals are scheduled to be played on Friday, July 28.
