[Watch] Smriti Mandhana gifts a phone to special fan after India vs Pakistan match in Women's Asia Cup

Star Indian batter Smriti Mandhana had a special gift for a special fan Adeesha Herath who had come to watch the Women's Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan in Dambulla on Friday, July 19. Mandhana met the fan after the match and gifted her a mobile phone.

In a video posted by Sri Lanka Cricket, Mandhana is seen talking to the fan and asking her whether she enjoyed watching the match. The left-hander after having a quick chat gave the fan a high-five and also took a picture with the special fan and her mother.

Adeesha Herath seemed extremely happy to meet her favorite cricketer and it is certainly a memory of a lifetime for her.

Further in the video, Adeesha's mother was also seen speaking about how lucky her daughter was to have a chance of speaking to Smriti Mandhana. Here's what she said:

"We came to watch the match unexpectedly, as my daughter wanted to go for the match. We met miss Mandhana from the Indian team and my daughter received a phone from her. It was unexpected and my daughter is so lucky to receive this gift from her."

India kickstarted their Asia Cup campaign with a thumping win over Pakistan in Dambulla. Batting first, Pakistan were bundled out for just 108, thanks to a well-rounded bowling effort from the Women in Blue. Deepti Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/20, while Shreyanka Patil, Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Singh also chipped in with a couple of wickets each.

India got off to a rollicking start from Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma as the duo stitched a 85-run stand for the first wicket. The Women in Blue won the game by seven wickets in the 16th over.
