[Watch] Smriti Mandhana hugs Harmanpreet Kaur to celebrate consecutive centuries against Proteas in IND-W vs SA-W 2nd ODI
India women's team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana starred with the bat against South Africa in the ongoing second ODI of the three-match series at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday (June 19). The left-hander reached her ton off 103 balls, with the help of one six and 12 boundaries.
This was Mandhana's seventh century in ODIs. With the landmark, she equalled former India captain Mithali Raj for most tons in the 50-over format for the Women in Blue.
Mandhana reached the feat during the 39th over of India's innings. Sune Luus bowled a tossed-up delivery and she guided it wide of cover to steal a single. The crowd rose to their feet as she took out her helmet and raised her bat to soak in the applause from fans and teammates. She also got a hug from skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.

Bengaluru fans have a special place in their hearts for Smriti Mandhana, who ended their trophy drought by winning a WPL title for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the second season of the T20 tournament.
Mandhana had also slammed 117 runs off 127 deliveries with the help of one six and 12 boundaries in the ODI series opener against the Proteas. India Women won that match by 143 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur dominate South Africa in 2nd ODI
A clinical batting display from Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur has helped India dominate South Africa in the second ODI.
At the time of writing, the hosts were 249/2 after 44 overs, with Mandhana (119) and Kaur (72) at the crease.
Dayalan Hemalatha (24 off 41) and Shafali Verma (20 off 38) got starts but failed to convert them into big scores.
The Proteas must win the game to stay alive in the ODI series. The two teams will play the third or final ODI at the venue on Sunday (June 23).
