[Watch] Smriti Mandhana perishes to RCB teammate in WBBL 2024
Smriti Mandhana’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) teammate Sophie Devine dismissed the former in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) clash on Tuesday, November 19. The match took place between Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers in Adelaide.
The dismissal came in the 10th over of the Strikers' innings. Scorchers’ captain Devine bowled an overpitched delivery and Mandhana tried to clear the mid-off but got caught out by Ebony Hoskin. The left-handed batter departed after 41 runs off 29 balls at a strike rate of 141.38, a knock laced with one maximum and five boundaries.

Smriti Mandhana has amassed 144 runs in five innings, including a half-century against Hobart Hurricanes. Meanwhile, Devine continued her impressive run with the ball, picking up seven wickets in as many games in the ongoing WBBL edition. She finished with figures of 2/28 in her four overs in the contest.
Smriti Mandhana, Katie Mack and Laura Wolvaardt hit 40s as Adelaide Stikers set a 170-run target for Perth Scorchers in WBBL clash
Smriti Mandhana, Katie Mack and Laura Wolvaardt scored in the 40s as Adelaide Strikers posted 169/6 against Perth Scorchers in the WBBL clash on Tuesday. Wolvaardt scored a quickfire 48 off 28 deliveries, hitting three sixes and as many boundaries. Mack also chipped in with 41 off 34, including six boundaries. Meanwhile, Adelaide captain Tahlia McGrath and Bridget Patterson also contributed in double digits.
Alana King starred with the ball for the Scorchers, finishing with excellent figures of 3/29. Chloe Ainsworth also bagged one wicket.
Adelaide Strikers will look to continue their winning momentum after beating Hobart Hurricanes by 38 runs in their previous game. They, however, are lying at the bottom of the points table with just two wins in eight games.
On the other hand, Perth Scorchers lost their previous game by seven wickets against Sydney Thunder. They are currently fifth in the points table with four victories in seven games.
