Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka took a stunning catch to dismiss Tim Robinson in the final T20I in Pallekele on Tuesday, November 19. As a result, Robinson walked back for (9 runs off 11 balls) consecutive single-digit scores in the three-match series. The 22-year-old had returned with scores of 35 and four in his last two outings.
The dismissal came in the fourth over of New Zealand innings. Mohamed Shiraz bowled a length ball and Robinson tried to clear long-off in the powerplay overs. To his surprise, Asalanka jumped to perfection and held onto the catch despite falling on the ground.

With the dismissal, Sri Lanka struck early as the Kiwis lost their opening wicket for 24 runs. Asalanka, meanwhile, has returned with three wickets and 53 runs in the series.
Will Young and Henry Nicholls steady New Zealand after early wicket in 3rd ODI vs Sri Lanka
Will Young and Henry Nicholls have steadied the Blackcaps after Tim Robinson fell cheaply in the third ODI.
At the time of writing, New Zealand were 112/1 after 21 overs when rain interuppted play.
The visitors are searching for a consolation win in the three-match series since the opposition have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Sri Lanka won the opening game by 45 runs via the DLS method. Kusal Mendis and Avishka Fernando scored 143 and 100 in the same contest. The hosts then won the second game by three wickets, thanks to 3-fers from Maheesh Theekshana and Jeffrey Vandersay.
This was the Islanders' first series win against the BlackCaps at home since 2012-13 series. The last home series between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw in 2013.
They will now be looking to complete a 3-0 clean sweep against the Kiwis.
Sri Lanka had also won the Test series 2-0 while the three-match T20I series ended 1-1 against New Zealand.
