Former Indian batter Suresh Raina has shared a cute video of him giving some golf lessons to daughter Gracia.

The 35-year-old has two children. His elder daughter Gracia is five years old while his son Rio was born in March 2020. Raina keeps posting adorable pictures and videos with his children on social media.

On Sunday, he took to Instagram to share a video of himself teaching some golf basics to Gracia. While uploading the clip, he included a caption which read:

“Golf session with my princess Gracia. Indulging her into sports & fitness is such an enriching experience not just for her but myself too. @rainagracia #reels #instagram #parents #parenting.”

Raina had registered his name for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction at the highest reserve price of ₹2 crore. However, he went unsold at the auction. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) released him ahead of the mega auction and did not buy him back.

The left-hander had a poor 2021 season, scoring only 160 runs in 12 matches with a solitary half-century. Some CSK fans criticized the franchise’s decision of not purchasing the experienced cricketer at the auction.

A few days back, the southpaw effectively shut down rumors of a possible rift with CSK by replying to a social media post from the franchise.

Taking to their official Twitter handle, Chennai shared an interesting video of Uthappa practicing his strokes by stepping down the wicket. Raina replied to the clip by commenting:

“Best wishes brother.”

Incidentally, Uthappa replaced the left-hander in CSK's playing XI towards the end of the season last year as Raina battled fitness and form issues.

Last month, explaining CSK’s decision not to pick Raina at the IPL auction in Bengaluru, CEO Kasi Viswanath said on the franchise's YouTube channel:

“Raina has been one of the most consistent performers for CSK for the last 12 years. Of course, it was very difficult for us, not to have Raina but at the same time, you should also understand that the team composition depends on the form and kind of team which any team would like to have. So that’s one of the reasons why we thought he may not fit into this team.”

Raina, who announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020, has amassed 5528 runs from 205 IPL matches at a strike rate of 136.76.
