[Watch] Suryakumar Yadav chats with young Tamil Nadu players after Mumbai vs TNCA XI match in Buchi Babu tournament

A video of Team India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav engaging in a chat with young players from TNCA XI has been doing the round on the internet on Friday, August 30. Suryakumar is representing Mumbai in the Buchi Babu tournament.

Mumbai took on TNCA XI in the match at SNR College Ground, Coimbatore. The defending Ranji Trophy champions were chasing an improbable total of 510. Shams Mulani (68) put in a valiant effort in the middle as CV Achyuth and R Sai Kishore picked up three wickets each in a win for TNCA XI.

Post the game, a video of Suryakumar in discussion with players from TNCA XI was posted on X (formerly Twitter) where he is seen giving the players some advice.

In the aforementioned game, Suryakumar Yadav did not bat in the second innings as he suffered an injury to his hand. He was not sent to the middle as a precautionary measure. TNCA XI will now play in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Earlier this year, Suryakumar Yadav was appointed the T20I skipper of Team India after Rohit Sharma hung up his boot in the shortest form. In his first assignment, he managed to sweep the T20I series against Sri Lanka as he led Team India to a 3-0 win over the Islanders. He also played in the Buchi Babu tournament alongside Team India batters Shreyas Iyer and Sarfaraz Khan.

Suryakumar Yadav will next be seen in action in the Duleep Trophy. He will be playing under Ruturaj Gaikwad for Team India C. He will be looking to make his comeback in the Test side for the series against Bangladesh after his solitary appearance against Australia in 2023.

The 33-year-old will be seen in action for Team India against Bangladesh in the three-match T20I series starting October 6.
