[Watch] Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya in awe as Ramandeep Singh hits first-ball six on debut in IND vs SA 2024 3rd T20I 

India’s debutant Ramandeep Singh took to international cricket like a duck to water with a first-ball six in the third T20I against South Africa in Centurion on Wednesday, November 13. With the shot, he left India skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya in awe.

The stunning shot came in the 18th over of India’s innings. Andile Simelane bowled a delivery right in the arc on off stump and Ramandeep Singh slammed it flat over long on with utmost ease as Suryakumar and Hardik applauded in joy.

Ramandeep Singh scored 15 runs off six balls in his first-ever outing for the Men in Blue. He was run out by Proteas wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen off the penultimate balls of India’s innings.

Ramandeep was picked in the India squad following his exploits for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League last season. The right-handed batter scored 125 runs in nine innings at a strike rate of 201.61.

Ramandeep Singh impresses but Tilak Varma steals the show with century in IND vs SA 3rd T20I

Tilak Varma stole the show as the visitors posted 219/6 on the board in the third T20I against the Proteas. The left-handed batter slammed an unbeaten 107 off 56 deliveries, a knock laced with seven sixes and eight boundaries.

Abhishek Sharma also scored a quickfire 50 off 25 balls, hitting five sixes and three boundaries. The duo shared a 107-run partnership for the second wicket after India lost Sanju Samson without any score.

Andile Simelane and Keshav Maharaj emerged as the leading wicket-takers, picking up two wickets apiece, while Marco Jansen also bagged one wicket.

The four-match T20I series is currently level at 1-1. India won the opening game by 61 runs before the Proteas bounced back with a three-wicket victory in the second match.
