[Watch] Suryakumar Yadav plays cricket in vanity van with his fashion stylist
Team India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav was recently seen playing in a vanity van with his fashion stylist Harmann Kaur. The swashbuckling made the most of his free time on a shoot day by bowling a few balls to Kaur.
Taking to his official Instagram handle on Tuesday, December 24, the cricket star shared a video of him bowling to his stylist. You can watch the clip below:
Suryakumar Yadav is currently part of Mumbai's squad for the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. The ace batter was dismissed for 20 runs off 16 balls in the side's opening encounter against Karnataka. He failed to score big in the subsequent fixture against Hyderabad as well. Batting at No. 8, he scored just 18 runs off 23 balls.
The 34-year-old also featured in Mumbai's title-winning campaign in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. He scored 151 runs across five innings at a strike rate of 132.00.
"I am playing all the domestic tournaments, be it red-ball or white-ball" - When Suryakumar Yadav spoke about making a Test comeback
Suryakumar Yadav has been handed India's T20I captaincy. However, he hasn't been a regular feature in the Men in Blue's ODI team following the 2023 World Cup and was not part of the squad for the side's three-match home ODI series against Sri Lanka in August.
Suryakumar made his Test debut against Australia in Nagpur last year, where he scored just eight runs. Suryakumar hasn't donned the India whites following his maiden outing.
Speaking about a potential Test comeback, Suryakumar emphasized that he is keen to play all domestic cricket tournaments to climb up the pecking order once again. He was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo last month:
"When the time comes, I will make a Test comeback. I am playing all the domestic tournaments, be it red-ball or white-ball. I don't miss any game. If that [Test comeback] has to happen, it will happen."
Suryakumar Yadav will next be seen in action on Thursday, December 26, when Mumbai take on Arunachal Pradesh in the third round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25.
