[Watch] Suryakumar Yadav produces brilliant direct hit to run out Gerald Coetzee in IND vs SA 1st T20I
India captain Suryakumar Yadav produced a brilliant direct hit to get rid of Gerald Coetzee in the first T20I against South Africa at Kingsmead in Durban on Friday, November 8. With the runout, Yadav ended Coetzee’s entertaining 23-run knock off 11 balls.
The dismissal came in the 17th over of Proteas’ run chase. Arshdeep Singh bowled a juicy full toss outside off and Maharaj smacked it towards extra cover before engaging in a mid-pitch conversation with his batting partner. Coetzee eventually went for the single but Suryakumar produced a brilliant throw at the stumps at the batter’s end. The wicket ensured the hosts would get bowled out inside 20 overs.
