[Watch] Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube hit stunning shots in 130-run stand in SMAT 2024-25
Team India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Shivam Dube played some eye-catching shots when playing for Mumbai against Services in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad is playing host to the Group E encounter.
Mumbai were off to a sluggish start in the powerplay as the domestic giants lost opener Prithvi Shaw (0 off 3) cheaply. Skipper Shreyas Iyer (20 off 14) was out in the middle for a while but failed to get a move on and lost his wicket as well.
Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube joined forces in the middle, and the duo were a bit slow to start off but picked up pace as the game went on. Both batters showed their wide range of shots and hit the ball to all corners of the park.
They went on an onslaught against spinner Mohit Rathee, smashing him for 23 runs in the 19th over of the game. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for 70 off 46 in the following over, while Shivam Dube stayed unbeaten on 71 off 37 balls. The duo stitched together a partnership of 130 runs, helping Mumbai to register a total of 192/4 from 20 overs.
