India made history the last time they faced Australia in Brisbane

The last time India faced Australia in Brisbane in a Test match was during the fourth and final Test of the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Australia won the toss and chose to bat first, posting 369 runs in their first innings, thanks to stellar knocks from Marnus Labuschagne (108) and Tim Paine (50).

In response, India struggled early, losing six wickets for 186 runs. However, Washington Sundar (62) and Shardul Thakur (67) fought back, helping the visitors reach 336 in their first innings.

Australia's second innings saw Steven Smith top-scoring with 55 as they totaled 294 runs, setting India a target of 328. Shubman Gill (91) and Cheteshwar Pujara (56) played brilliantly, but Rishabh Pant stole the show with an unbeaten 89. India chased down the target, winning by three wickets, clinching the series 2-1, and handing Australia their first defeat at the Gabba in 32 years.
