[Watch] Team India arrives in Adelaide ahead of BGT 2024-25 pink-ball Test, enjoys day out
Team India on Tuesday, December 3, arrived in Adelaide days ahead of the second Test, which starts on December 6. The players enjoyed the day travelling and shopping for hats at the airport.
The tourists looked in a jolly mood, having won the first Test in Perth by a mammoth margin of 295 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. They also won the pink-ball warmup game against Australia PMXI by six wickets in Canberra on Sunday, December 1.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the video on X. Watch the clip below:
Team India would be keen to continue their winning momentum in the second Test. Notably, regular skipper Rohit Sharma will be back to lead the side after skipping the first Test due to paternity leave. It remains to be seen whether he plays as an opener or middle order batter after dropping himself to No.4 in the practice game. KL Rahul, who scored 26 and 74 in Perth, opened with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the pink-ball warmup fixture.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill is also likely to return to the XI after a thumb injury ruled him out of the series opener. Thus, Dhruv Jurel or Devdutt Padikkal might miss the second Test after failing to deliver in the opening game.
What is Team India's record in Adelaide since 2000?
Team India have played six Tests in Adelaide since 2000. India have won only two games, while one game finished in a draw. Australia have the upper hand with three victories against India at the venue.
