Team India were in a celebratory mood after landing in Delhi from Barbados, where they scripted their second T20 WC victory. Many of the players, including Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, could be seen dancing their hearts out to dhol beats as they eneterd their hotel.

The Men in Blue broke their 11-year ICC Trophy drought as they beat South Africa in the final at the Kensington Oval to clinch the trophy. The inaugural World T20 champions snatched victory from the jaws of another heartbreaking defeat, with the Proteas requiring 30 off 30 balls for victory at one stage.

Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, on Wednesday, announced that they have arranged an open bus parade for the Indian players. Later, they will also have a small presentation at the Wankhede Stadium.

It's worth noting that the same took place when the national team lifted the crown under MS Dhoni back in 2007. The Men in Blue joined the likes of England and the West Indies to win the T20 World Cup twice. They also became the first team to win the crown without losing a game.

With the victory coming after several World Cup final and semi-final losses, the players were inevitably emotional as the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandya were spotted shedding tears. Kohli claimed the Player of the Match award in the final, while Jasprit Bumrah won the Player of the Series award.

Kohli and Rohit also bid farewell to T20I cricket and finished as the top two run-getters in the format. Furthermore, the tournament marked the end of Rahul Dravid's tenure as coach.
