[Watch] Travis Head celebrates in trademark style after another hundred vs India in BGT 2024-25 3rd Test
Travis Head starred with the bat on Day 2 (Sunday, December 15) of the third Test between India and Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane. The left-handed batter slammed his third Test ton against India in the last 18 months. This was his consecutive ton against the tourists, after having smashed 140 in the second match in Adelaide, where the Aussies won by 10 wickets to level the five-Test series 1-1.
Head reached the landmark in the 69th over of Australia’s first innings. Jasprit Bumrah attempted a yorker but ended up with a low full toss. Head chipped it through mid-wicket and took three runs, reaching the landmark in 115 deliveries. The southpaw celebrated his ton in his trademark style by placing his helmet on his bat as the crowd and teammates stood up to applaud.

Travis Head and Steve Smith’s 150-plus partnership leaves India in disarray
A clinical batting display from Travis Head and Steve Smith has helped Australia dominate India on Day 2 of the third Test. The duo have put on an unbeaten 159-run partnership for the fourth wicket. The tourists went wicketless in the second session.
At the time of writing, Australia were 234/3, with Head (103) and Smith (65) at the crease. Bumrah has been the pick of the bowlers, returning with two wickets so far.
Ahead of the ongoing Test, former Australia wicketkeeper-batter Adam Gilchrist had opined that the short ball ploy tactics might work against Head. However, the Rohit Sharma-led side didn’t use enough half-trackers.
