[Watch] Tushar Deshpande's triple-strike gets Sunrisers Hyderabad's top 3 inside powerplay in CSK vs SRH IPL 2024 match
Tushar Deshpande provided Chennai Super Kings (CSK) with a brilliant start with the ball against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Chepauk on Sunday.
The speedster took the prized scalp of Travis Head (13 off 7) before sending back Anmolpreet Singh (golden duck) and the in-form Abhishek Sharma (15 off 9).
With three quick wickets, the Super Kings reduced the visitors to 40/3 in 3.5 overs.
Deshpande dismissed Travis Head with a slower one outside off. The left-hander went on one knee for a big shot, but ended up playing it towards Daryl Mitchell at deep point.
The pacer followed it up with an outswinger to Anmolpreet, who closed the face of the bat too early, which ended in a leading edge to Moeen Ali at extra cover. As a result, Deshpande finished SRH's second over with back-to-back wickets.
In his second over, Deshpande lured Abhishek into playing a big shot with a slower delivery outside off stump. The left-hander was dismissed similarly to Head, towards deep point as Mitchell took another well-judged catch near the boundary rope.
