[Watch] Virat Kohli breaks into an impromptu jig during a fun conversation with Harbhajan Singh on Day 1 of 3rd BGT 2024-25 Test

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was spotted letting loose in an unexpected moment of joy, breaking into an impromptu dance during a light-hearted conversation with former cricketer Harbhajan Singh.

This cheerful moment unfolded on Day 1 of the third Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, on Saturday, December 14, at The Gabba in Brisbane.

As the Delhi-born cricketer showcased his dance moves, both players couldn’t help but burst into laughter. In the video, Kohli is seen likely encouraging Harbhajan to mimic the dance steps.

Here’s a video of the interaction:

Meanwhile, rain dominated Day 1 of the match. India won the toss and chose to bowl first. The game was interrupted by rain in the sixth over but resumed after a brief delay of about half an hour. However, after just six more overs, heavy rain forced play to be abandoned for the day.

At the time of the stoppage, Australia were 28 without loss after 13.2 overs, with Usman Khawaja on 19 and Nathan McSweeney on 4. To make up for lost time, the next four days will see play start half an hour earlier, with 98 overs scheduled to be bowled each day.

Virat Kohli scored his 30th century during the 1st Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy

In the opening match of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Virat Kohli was dismissed for just five runs in the first innings in Perth. However, the 36-year-old made a stunning comeback in the second innings, scoring an unbeaten century — his 30th in Test cricket — as India secured a dominant 295-run victory.

However, Kohli had a tough time in the second game in Adelaide, scoring just 7 and 11 in the two innings as India faced a heavy 10-wicket defeat. The 36-year-old will be eager to return to form in the ongoing third Test, having already amassed 1,475 runs in 16 Tests in Australia.
