Team India stalwart Virat Kohli showcased his dance moves on the field during the 2023 World Cup match against Afghanistan on Wednesday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
It is not the first instance of Kohli dancing on the field, as he has done it a few times this season to entertain fans and engage with them.
Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and opted to bat first in the afternoon contest. India made one change to their playing XI as Ravichandran Ashwin made way for Shardul Thakur.
While fielding under the afternoon sun, Virat Kohli tried to keep the spirits of his teammates and fans in the stadium high with his lively energy. A fan took to X and shared a short clip where Kohli was seen performing dance moves on the field.

Virat Kohli has been at his best since he hit those two sixes against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup: Salman Butt
Former Pakistan opener Salman Butt recently reckoned that Virat Kohli has been in red-hot form ever since he hit two sixes against Haris Rauf in the 2022 T20 World Cup match.
In a high-pressure situation when India needed 28 runs from eight balls, Kohli hit two sensational sixes at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) to turn the game for his side.
In his latest YouTube video, Salman Butt said:
"Virat Kohli has been at his best since he hit those two sixes against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. That was a huge comeback, and it came under extreme pressure. He was under extreme pressure in the game against Australia as well, but he delivered. People who think Kohli is finished should know what value he brings to the team, especially while chasing."
Salman was all praise for Kohli and KL Rahul for their mature match-winning partnership against Australia after the top order collapsed meekly in Chennai. He added:
"The partnership of Kohli and Rahul was exceptional. They played defensively when they were under pressure, relying on singles and doubles. They didn't try to be overly aggressive. The one thing to learn from this partnership is that they didn't want to leave it to other batters."
