Team India's ace batter Virat Kohli was seen doing some batting practice after stumps on Day 1 of the side's ongoing second Test against New Zealand in Pune. The seasoned campaigner faced some throwdowns to prepare for the second day.

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first. The visitors were off to a decent start and were 197/3 at one stage. However, India bounced back, courtesy of Washington Sundar's seven-wicket haul and bundled out the Black Caps for 259.

Skipper Rohit Sharma bagged a nine-ball duck and the Men in Blue finished at 16/1 at stumps. While Kohli didn't get to bat on the opening day, he was seen sweating it out in practice to gear up for his innings.
