Virat Kohli could not play a big innings in the 2023 World Cup match against Pakistan on October 14, but the star Indian batter played a couple of beautiful shots during his 18-ball 16. One of them was a wonderful cover drive in the seventh over of the innings bowled by Shaheen Afridi.
Kohli came out to bat in the third over of the innings after Shubman Gill lost his wicket to Afridi. The star Indian batter started with a dot ball before taking a single on the second ball of his innings.
Virat was batting on 1*(3) when he hit a picture perfect cover drive for four runs against Shaheen Afridi. It was on the last ball of the innings' fifth over. The crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium roared as Kohli hit his first four of the innings.

Virat Kohli handed a catch to Mohammad Nawaz shortly after hitting 2 more fours
Kohli hit two fours and reached 16 runs off 17 balls before he lost his wicket. Hasan Ali bowled a short delivery to Kohli which was hit by him straight to Mohammad Nawaz, the fielder in the mid-on region.

The short balls have troubled Virat Kohli in the 2023 World Cup so far. The star Indian batter almost handed a catch to Mitchell Marsh in the first game against Australia as well. Marsh dropped the catch, and Kohli went on to guide India to a win. Kohli will try to improve his game against the short ball before India's next match against Bangladesh on October 19.
