Meanwhile, Team India endured a challenging outing as the Kiwis became the first nation to inflict a whitewash over India in a three-match Test series on Indian soil. In the third Test, while chasing a target of 147, the Indian batting lineup faltered. Skipper Rohit Sharma was dismissed for just 11 runs, and Kohli could contribute only one.

Rishabh Pant emerged as the lone fighter for India, scoring 64 runs, while the rest of the batters struggled, leading to a 25-run defeat. Ajaz Patel was the standout bowler for the Blackcaps, claiming six wickets.

“Their confidence level is lower than Babar” - Basit Ali on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

The seasoned Indian duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had a disappointing series against New Zealand, with the former managing just 91 runs in six innings and Kohli contributing only 93.

Commenting on the disappointing performance of the Indian duo, former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali shared his thoughts on his YouTube channel:

"Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are in the same situation as Babar Azam. Their form has deteriorated. We shall see who comes back to form first. I pray that Babar comes back to form quickly and Virat and Rohit score runs in Australia. Their confidence level is lower than Babar's at this time because he is coming back from rest."

Both players will next take the field when India face Australia in a five-match Test series, beginning on November 22 in Perth.
