Virat Kohli failed to score big in the IND vs AFG T20 World Cup Super 8 match

All eyes were on Virat Kohli in the IND vs AFG match as fans eagerly anticipated a big knock from the seasoned campaigner. However, the 35-year-old's underwhelming run in the ongoing ICC event continued.

Kohli got off to a decent start, steading the ship for his team after his opening partner Rohit Sharma departed cheaply. The right-handed batter scored 24 runs off as many balls before getting out.

He was dismissed by Rashid Khan in the ninth over. Kohli lost his wicket while trying to clear the long-off fence. He failed to get the desired distance and was ultimately caught by Mohammad Nabi.

It is worth mentioning that Kohli struggled with his form in the group stage of the 2024 T20 World Cup. He registered scores of one and four against Ireland and Pakistan, respectively. The former India captain was dismissed for a golden duck against the United States of America (USA).

India would want Kohli to get some runs under his belt as his form will be crucial for the team in the crucial Super 8 stage.
