[Watch] Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant spotted at the Leela Palace in Chennai ahead of IND vs BAN 2024 1st Test

Indian captain Rohit Sharma was spotted arriving at the Leela Palace hotel in Chennai along with his teammates Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. A video of the three cricketers arriving one after the other has surfaced online on X.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and the rest of the Indian Test squad are currently in Chennai for the first Test against Bangladesh. The Test series will start tomorrow morning (Thursday, September 19) at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Ahead of the first Test, all Indian cricketers have been sweating hard in the nets sessions. While videos of the Indian players' practice sessions surfaced online a few days ago, a new clip has now gone viral on the internet featuring Virat, Rohit, and Pant. You can watch it here:

In the video, Virat arrived first with his bag and a glass in his hand. The officials helped him at the hotel. Rohit also followed him in a similar style, and then Pant arrived at the hotel. The video posted by a fan had already received 138 likes on X at the time of writing.

Rishabh Pant will make his return to Test cricket for the first time since 2022

Star Indian wicketkeeper Pant has returned to the Test squad for the first time since his accident in 2022. Incidentally, his last Test was against Bangladesh, and tomorrow, he will don the whites again versus the Tigers in the Test arena.

India have never lost a Test match against Bangladesh before. Captain Rohit Sharma will be keen to ensure that the record stays intact when the two neighbors collide in a two-match Test series from September 19 to October 1.

All eyes will be on Rishabh Pant, who scored an impressive half-century in a Duleep Trophy game last week. Pant, Kohli, and Rohit will hold the key to India's success in this series.
