[Watch] Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's amusing reaction after seeing reimagined 'Lagaan' poster featuring them
Team India's star cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma couldn't hide their smile after coming across a reimagined poster of the iconic Bollywood movie 'Lagaan' featuring them and other members of the current Indian men's cricket team. The clip from India's ongoing white-ball tour of Sri Lanka has gone viral on social media.
The Men in Blue began their tour of the island nation in impressive fashion, winning the first T20I in Pallekele by 43 runs. The visitors went on to clinch the next two matches of the T20I series at the same venue.
They won the second T20I by seven wickets (DLS method) and the third T20I in the Super Over. After the first ODI ended in a tie, Sri Lanka won the second game by 32 runs.
Meanwhile, a video featuring Kohli, Rohit and a few other members of the Indian one-day team is going viral. In the clip, which seems to have been shot ahead of India taking the field, Kohli is seen pointing out something to Rohit.
The camera then pans to a reimagined poster of 'Lagaan' in the stands held up by a fan, with lead actor Aamir Khan's face being replaced by that of Indian captain Rohit.

The reimagined Lagaan poster, in which all the main characters were replaced Indian cricketers, went viral after the Men in Blue beat England in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Kohli and Rohit were the top two run-getters in the ICC event held in India. While Kohli smashed 765 runs in 11 innings at an average of 95.62 and a strike rate of 90.32, Rohit hit 597 runs, averaging 54.27 at a strike rate of 125.95.
Rohit led from the front again as India won the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States. The Indian skipper slammed 257 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 156.71. Kohli struggled throughout the tournament but was Player of the Match in the final for his 76 off 59.
Rohit, Kohli have experienced contrasting fortunes in ODI series in Sri Lanka
Rohit and Kohli have experienced diverse fortunes in the first two matches of the ODI series against Sri Lanka. The Indian captain hammered 58 off 47 in the first one-dayer in Colombo, a knock that included seven fours and three sixes.
In the second match at the same venue, Rohit contributed 66 off 44, hitting five fours and four sixes. As for Kohli, he was dismissed for 24 off 32 in the first one-dayer and 14 off 19 in the second ODI.
India need to win the third match in Colombo on August 7 to square the series 1-1.
