[Watch] Virat Kohli shows off his dance moves on Day 2 of 2024-25 BGT 1st Test

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is known for his aggressive nature on the field. But on Day 2 of the ongoing first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 on Saturday, November 23, the experienced batter seemed to be in a lighter mood, showing off his dance moves. The match is being played at the Perth Stadium.

During the 37th over of Australia's innings, Kohli, standing in the slips, seemed to be having a good time, breaking into some dance moves. Meanwhile, his wife, Bollywood star Anushka Sharma, was spotted in the stands.

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old had a challenging outing with the bat, dismissed for just five runs off 12 balls as India posted 150. Rishabh Pant (37) and debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy (41) also chipped in.

However, the Indian bowlers were exceptional, led by stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah, who claimed a five-wicket haul. Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana also played key roles, helping bundle Australia out for just 104.

“It is too hard to judge him” - Michael Vaughan comments on Virat Kohli’s strategy in 1st 2024-25 BGT Test

Former England captain Michael Vaughan was taken aback by Virat Kohli’s tactic of stepping outside the crease to counter the Australian bowlers on Day 1.

The 50-year-old, speaking to Fox Cricket, claimed that not many batters would attempt such a strategy on a bouncy pitch.

“It is too hard to judge him. Coming out of the crease in Perth when the ball is bouncing is a tactic not many try to pull off and he went for that. It bounced and he found the outside edge. But I think that now we have seen Australia (bat), this was clearly kind of a pitch where you had to be proactive because there’s plenty of balls out there,” he said.
"So generally in this era of the game, when the pitch does anything, players try to play aggressively and try to do things to disrupt the bowler. It’s not a tactic I would have used. But ... Virat Kohli is a legend of the game and you had to try to do something,” Vaughan added.

Kohli has struggled in Test cricket in 2024, averaging just 21.25 over seven matches.
