Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has revealed that he was charged a whopping sum of 1,000 Australian dollars (₹55,000 approximately) for a cat's haircut. Reacting to the hefty bill amount, he said that 200 cats can be groomed in Pakistan for the same amount.
Akram, a cricket legend, is on commentary duty for the ongoing white-ball series between Australia and Pakistan in Australia. The visitors stunned the Aussies 2-1 to clinch the one-day series. The three-match T20I series will begin with the first match at The Gabba in Brisbane from Thursday, November 14.
In a live commentary session during the one-day series, Akram shared details of receiving a huge bill for his cat's haircut. In a video that is going viral on social media, the former Pakistan left-arm pacer is heard saying:
"I had a cat haircut yesterday. I have to pay 1000 (Australian) dollars for the cat's haircut. They have got to sedate the cat, they have to keep the cat, then they have to feed the act.
"I said about 200 cats in Pakistan can get haircut for this money," Akram jokingly adds.

105 AUD for a medical check-up.
305 AUD for anesthesia to safely sedate the cat.
40 AUD for the actual haircut.

As per the invoice, the actual cost for the haircut of Akram's cat was only 40 AUD, while all the other charges were additional procedures related to it.
Wasim Akram reckons Pakistan can beat India in Tests on spinning tracks
Akram was among the cricket experts who reacted to India's shocking 3-0 Test series loss at home to New Zealand. He opined that even Pakistan can get the better of India on spinning tracks. During a commentary stint in the first ODI between Australia and Pakistan in Melbourne, he commented:
“Pakistan have a chance to beat India in Tests now on a spinning track. They have been hammered by New Zealand 3-0 at home.”
Having been whitewashed by the Kiwis, Team India will now take on Australia in Australia in a five-match Test series from November 22 to January 7.
