“Wo thoda personal baat hai yaar” - Rohit Sharma’s cheeky response to query on his interaction with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma had a hilarious response to a reporter's question during the press conference ahead of the second Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval. When the reporter asked the veteran opener what he told Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant, he refused to share by claiming it was personal.

The right-handed batter will mark his return to the playing eleven in Adelaide after missing the first Test in Perth due to being on paternity leave. The Nagpur-born cricketer has also declared that he will bat in the middle in the important day-night Test.

Meanwhile, when the reporter asked about his conversation with Jaiswal and Pant, Rohit responded (via cricket journalist Rushiii's X account):

"Yeh mere aur unke beech ki personal baat hai yaar, woh main nahin share kar sakta." (It's something between us and it's personal, I can't share it here.)

With Jasprit Bumrah at the helm in Perth, Team India consigned Australia to a 295-run defeat and it proved to be their first at the venue.

Meanwhile, Rohit heaped praise on Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul for their approach in Perth. The veteran said he sees no reason to separate them at the top and stated, saying, as quoted by cricket.com.au:

"Those two guys at the top – just looking at this one Test match (in Perth) – they batted brilliantly. I was at home with my newborn in my arms and I was watching how KL batted and it was brilliant, to be honest. I felt there was no need to change that now.
"Maybe in the future things will be different, I don't know. Based on what has happened and what KL has shown outside of India, he probably deserves that place at this point in time."

Australia, meanwhile, are yet to lose a pink-ball Test in Adelaide and have a 7-0 record.
