[Watch] Yashasvi Jaiswal gets out after being caught in slip for 77 in 2nd IND vs NZ 2024 Test
Team India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was caught in the slips of Mitchell Satner's bowling on Day 3 (October 26) of the second against New Zealand. The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune is the host to the second of the three Tests on this tour.
Chasing a total of 359, Jaiswal came out all guns blazing and gave the hosts a blazing start. The 22-year-old played his shots against spin and pace alike, taking down Tim Southee in the very first over of the chase. Jaiswal bulldozed his way and scored his half century in 41 balls.
The southpaw didn't stop after that and took a liking to Ajaz Patel in the 21st over. However, in the 22nd over, Jaiswal looked to block one outside off and was a bit too late on the timing, getting a thick edge on that occasion. Daryl Mitchell, standing at first slip, did well to get low to that one and took a good catch to send back the southpaw.
Take a look at the dismissal below:
Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for a well made 77 runs in 65 balls, handing the hosts a good start. His wicket brought Rishabh Pant to the middle with Team India on 127/3 in the 22nd over.
