While presenting Jaiswal and Siraj with their medals, T Dilip praised the entire team for their excellent fielding efforts in the series.
"I think someone who has really shown his strong reflexes and really has very very composed when it comes to catching everything. KL Rahul has done some very excellent work. I think this time around we are two winners for this because I felt the effort at which we went about and Rohit said our catching percentage in this test was 9% which is really appreciable," he said.
"I thought two people deserved this medal and someone who had every game passed on showed a lot of intent and none other than Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj. Turning every moment to an opportunity to make a difference, it's outstanding and it's none other than Mohammed Siraj. Yeah, very good! Contender number three, when it comes to catching, I think he is as reliable as Swiss watch, and he is Rohit Sharma," Dilip added.
Jaiswal led India in catches during the series with four, while Siraj finished on two.
Team India extended their home Test series-winning streak with Bangladesh triumph
The fielding efforts played a massive role in India's 18th consecutive Test series win at home with the 2-0 demolition of Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma's team also made it six straight Test wins at home.
The last time India lost a home Test was against England in the series opener earlier this year while their last home series defeat was also against the same opponent in 2012-13.
While the first Test in Chennai was a straightforward 280-run win, the second Test in Kanpur saw India overcome lengthy weather interruptions to script a memorable victory.
Despite only 35 overs being bowled in the opening three days, India through aggressive batting (run rate of over 7.30 across the two innings) completed a seven-wicket win in under 172 overs of action.
