[Watch] Yashasvi Jaiswal smashes a boundary on the first ball as India off to a flyer in 1st T20I vs Sri Lanka

In the first T20I against Sri Lanka, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got things started for the visitors with a boundary on the opening ball. The first of the three-match series took place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, July 27.

Sri Lankan captain Charith Asalanka won the toss and invited India to bat first. The visitors got off to an ideal start as Dilshan Madushanka began with a short ball that was slanted into the hips. Jaiswal stayed inside the line and pulled the ball over the backward square for a boundary.

Here’s the video of the boundary:

At the time of writing, Men in Blue were 106/2 after nine overs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav (21 off 8 balls) and Rishabh Pant (8 off 10 balls) were at the crease. Team India look set to put up a massive target on the board.
