[Watch] Yashasvi Jaiswal starts off India’s innings with back-to-back sixes off Sikandar Raza in IND vs ZIM 5th T20I
India’s swashbuckling opener Yashasvi Jaiswal helped India kick-start their innings with a cracker by smashing two consecutive sixes off Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza in the fifth T20I. The Harare Sports Club is hosting the final T20I between the two teams on Sunday, July 14.
Jaiswal made the most of a high full-toss (no-ball) off Raza and deposited it over the deep square leg. The left-hander then went straight down the ground for another six off a free hit as India scored 13 runs off one legal delivery.

However, Sikandar Raza had the last laugh as he cleaned up Jaiswal in the same over to provide the first breakthrough for the hosts.
Jaiswal, though, will finish the series on a good note. The stylish opener had slammed an unbeaten 93 runs off 53 balls in the fourth T20I, where the Men in Blue won by 10 wickets with 28 balls to spare. The 22-year-old also scored 36 off 27 in the third T20I. India won that game by 23 runs.
The Mumbai player was rested for the first two games after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy.
Sikandar Raza strikes early to give Zimbabwe an edge over India
Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza struck early after he won the toss and elected to bowl first. He dismissed Jaiswal on the fourth delivery of the first over.
Soon, Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava chipped in with quick wickets to help the hosts take an edge over the Men in Blue.
At the time of writing, the visitors were 78-3 after 10.3 overs, with Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag at the crease. Apart from Jaiswal (12 off five), skipper Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma perished for 13 (14) and 14 (11), respectively.
Notably, Zimbabwe have already lost the T20I series 1-3 and would be keen to finish on a winning note. They managed a solitary win in the opening game by 13 runs. On the contrary, Gill would hope that India register a 4-1 victory on his first-ever series as captain.
