India decided to bowl first in the IND vs BAN 2024 2nd Test
Team India won the toss and elected to bat first after a wet outfield delayed the start of proceedings by an hour. After a probing start with the ball by Jasprit Bumrah, Bangladesh started chipping in with boundaries.
After Akash Deep was brought into the attack, he immediately picked up a wicket, dismissing Zakir Hasan.
Akash Deep would soon make it two wickets after getting rid of Shadman Islam before the drinks break. At the time of writing, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque are in the middle, with the visitors scoring 42/2 after 15 overs.
India comprehensively won the first Test to take an unassailable 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
