[Watch] "You can't keep him out of the game"- David Warner takes a stunning catch near boundary line in AUS vs NED 2023 World Cup match

David Warner took an excellent catch in the 2023 World Cup match between Australia and the Netherlands on Wednesday, October 25. The Australian player timed his jump to perfection near the boundary line to dismiss Dutch batter Sybrand Engelbrecht.

The Netherlands suffered a massive 309-run defeat at the hands of Australia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. David Warner was brilliant for the Aussies. He scored a magnificent century in the first innings and followed it up with a stunner near the boundary line in the second innings.

Warner took the catch in the 14th over of the Dutch innings when Sybrand Engelbrecht attempted to hit a six off Mitchell Marsh's bowling. At first, it looked like the ball would clear the square leg boundary, but Warner executed a perfect jump to send Sybrand back to the dressing room. You can watch the video here:

The commentator lauded Warner for his catch and said on air:

"What a catch! You can't keep him out of the game."

David Warner misses out on Player of the Match award in 2023 World Cup match against the Netherlands

Despite scoring his record-breaking sixth World Cup century for Australia against the Netherlands, David Warner (104 off 93) failed to win the Player of the Match award.

The prize went to his teammate Glenn Maxwell, who hit the fastest ton in ODI World Cup history (40 balls), finishing with 106 runs off 44 balls. Like Warner, Maxwell made his mark while fielding as well, affecting the run-out of Dutch opener Vikramjit Singh in the sixth over.

Australia reached 399/8 in 50 overs, riding on tons from Warner and Maxwell. In reply, the Netherlands managed only 90 runs as Adam Zampa took four wickets in just three overs and Mitchell Marsh chipped in with two scalps.
