West Indies Super 8 schedule 2024 T20 World Cup: Complete West Indies match list, dates, venues and timings in IST

West Indies hammered Afghanistan by 104 runs in match number 40 of the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia on Monday, June 17. Courtesy of the victory, the Windies topped Group C, with eight points from four matches and a net run rate of +3.257.

Earlier, the co-hosts confirmed their berth in the Super 8 round of the tournament by winning their first three group games. Their campaign in the 2024 T20 World Cup got underway with a nervy five-wicket win over Papua New Guinea at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. In their second match, also played in Guyana, the West Indies thumped Uganda by 134 runs.

Rovman Powell and co. sealed their berth in the Super 8 round by defeating New Zealand by 13 runs at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. Batting first, the West Indies posted 149-9 and then held the Kiwis to 136-9.


West Indies' full Super 8 schedule for T20 World Cup 2024

West Indies have been placed in Group 2 for the Super 8 round of the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup alongside England, South Africa and co-hosts United States. The Windies will begin their campaign in the Super 8 stage with a match against England at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia on Thursday, June 20.

In their second match, they will take on United States at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 22. West Indies' third and final Super 8 assignment will be against South Africa at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua on June 24.

West Indies have won the Men's T20 World Cup twice before - in 2012 and 2016. A triumph in the ongoing edition will see them becoming the first team to lift the title on three occasions.

Speaking of the Super 8 round, the two top teams from Group 1 and Group 2 will progress to the knockouts, while the remaining four sides will be eliminated from the competition. The two semifinals will be held in Tarouba and Guyana on June 27, while the final will take place in Barbados on June 29.
