What is the cut-off time for today’s RCB vs CSK IPL 2024 match?

RCB vs CSK match has begun in IPL 2024. The game started a few minutes ago at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Royal Challengers Bengaluru openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli got their team off to a flying start, adding 31 runs in just three overs.

It looked like Du Plessis and Kohli would continue to drive RCB at an expensive rate in powerplay, but rain interrupted the proceedings at the stadium. The match has not resumed yet.

RCB fans would be worried because their team will be knocked out from the competition in the case of a no result. CSK fans won't mind the rain break much because even a shortened game will make things difficult for Bengaluru as far as the net run-rate scenario is concerned.

The cut-off time to start a five-over match has been 10:55 PM IST. It means that if the ground is not ready to host even a five-over contest at 10:56 PM IST, the game will be called off.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bat second. For the officials to declare a winner in this contest, there must be at least five overs bowled in the second innings.

Even if rain interrupts the proceedings when CSK's innings' fifth over is midway, the D/L method shall not be used to determine a winner. Hence, RCB fans will hope that once the match resumes, rain stays away from the stadium.
