Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match 46 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday (April 28).
The two teams have locked horns 20 times in IPL, with CSK leading the head-to-head battle against SRH by 14:6.
Sunrisers beat the defending champions Super Kings by six wickets in their last faceoff at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 5.
Asked to bat first, CSK posted 165/5 in 20 overs. Shivam Dube top scored with 45 off 24 balls in an innings featuring four sixes and two boundaries. Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and Ruturaj Gaikwad also chipped in with 35 (30), 31*(23) and 26 (21), respectively.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Pat Cummins, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Jaydev Unadkat bagged one wicket each.
In response, SRH achieved the target with 11 balls to spare. Aiden Markram starred with the bat, scoring 50 off 36 with the help of one six and four boundaries. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head also chipped in with 37 (12) and 31 (24), respectively.
Moeen Ali bagged two wickets for CSK, while Maheesh Theekshana and Deepak Chahar shared one apiece.

SRH’s scorecard from their last IPL game
SRH lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 35 runs in their last match in Hyderabad on April 25.
Batting first, RCB posted 206/7 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar starred with the bat, scoring half-centuries each. Kohli scored 51 off 43, comprising one six and four boundaries. Patidar smacked 50 off just 20, smashing five maximums and two boundaries.
Cameron Green and Faf du Plessis also played their part with scores of 37*(20) and 25 (12), respectively.
Jaydev Unadkat starred with the ball in his 100th IPL match by returning with figures of 3/30, while T Natarajan bagged two wickets. Meanwhile, Pat Cummins and Mayank Markande scalped one each.
In response, SRH posted 171/8 in 20 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed looked good for 40 off 37, while Cummins and Abhishek Sharma contributed 31 (15) and 31 (13), respectively. The trio, though, failed to take the team over the line.
Cameron Green, Karn Sharma and Swapnil Singh picked up two wickets apiece for RCB, while Will Jacks and Yash Dayal scalped one each.

CSK’s scorecard from their last IPL match
CSK lost to Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets in their last game at MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 23.
Asked to bat first, CSK posted 210/4 in 20 overs. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 108 runs off 60 in an innings laced with three sixes and 12 boundaries. Shivam Dube also chipped in with a quickfire 66 off 27, comprising seven maximums and three boundaries. MS Dhoni smashed a four off the only ball he faced.
Matt Henry, Mohsin Khan and Yash Thakur scalped one wicket apiece for LSG.
In response, Marcus Stoinis single-handedly helped Lucknow chase down the target with three balls to spare. The right-hander smashed an unbeaten 124 off 63, hitting six maximums and 13 boundaries to take the team over the line. Stoinis was supported by Nicholas Pooran and Deepak Hooda with scores of 34 (15) and 17*(6), respectively, towards the end.
Matheesha Pathirana was the leading wicket-taker for CSK, returning with two wickets, while Deepak Chahar and Mustafizur Rahman bagged one each.
