What happened the last time GT played against RCB? Exploring Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru's last match scorecards in IPL 2024

Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Match 45 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (April 28).

The two teams have locked horns three times in the IPL, with the Titans winning twice, while RCB have managed a solitary win.

Gujarat beat Bengaluru by six wickets in their most recent match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium last year. Asked to bat first, RCB posted 197/5 in their allotted 20 overs.

Virat Kohli starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 101 runs off 61 balls in an innings laced with one six and 13 boundaries. Captain Faf du Plessis, Michael Bracewell and Anuj Rawat also chipped in with 28 (19), 26 (16), and 23*(15), respectively.

In response, GT achieved the target with five balls to spare. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front, scoring an unbeaten 104 off 52 deliveries with the help of eight sixes and five boundaries. Vijay Shankar also smashed 53 off 35, comprising two sixes and seven fours. The duo shared a 123-run partnership for the second wicket.

Mohammed Siraj was the leading wicket-taker for RCB, returning with figures of 2/32, while Vijaykumar Vyshak and Harshal Patel scalped one wicket each.

RCB's scorecard from their last IPL game

RCB beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 35 runs in their last IPL game at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 25.

Batting first, RCB put up 206/7 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli top scored with 51 off 43, including one six and four boundaries. Rajat Patidar also came up with a quickfire 50 off 20, hitting five sixes and two boundaries.

Cameron Green and Faf du Plessis also chipped in with 37*(20) and 25 (12), respectively.

Jaydev Unadkat starred with the ball for SRH, returning with figures of 3/30, while T Natarajan bagged two wickets. Pat Cummins and Mayank Markande picked up one apiece.

In response, SRH managed 171/8. Shahbaz Ahmed top scored with 40 off 37 but failed to take the team past the finish line. Pat Cummins and Abhishek Sharma also scored 31 each from 15 and 13 deliveries, respectively.

Swapnil Singh, Karn Sharma and Cameron Green picked up two wickets apiece for RCB, while Will Jacks took the prized wicket of Travis Head.

GT's scorecard from their last IPL match

GT lost to Delhi Capitals by four runs in their last IPL match at Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 24.

Captain Rishabh Pant led from the front, scoring an unbeaten 88 off 43 in an innings featuring eight maximums and five boundaries. Axar Patel also smacked 66 off 43 with the aid of four sixes and five boundaries.

Together, the duo shared a 113-run partnership for the fourth wicket to help rescue DC from 44/3. Tristan Stubbs provided the late flourish, scoring 26 off seven deliveries with the help of two sixes and three boundaries.

Sandeep Warrier emerged as the pick of the lot, finishing with figures of 3/15, while Noor Ahmed bagged one wicket.

In response, GT managed 220/8. Sai Sudharsan top scored with 65 off 39, comprising two maximums and seven boundaries. David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha also chipped in with 55 (23) and 39 (25) but failed to take the team past the finish line. Rashid Khan (21 off 11) took the game to the last ball.

Rasikh Dar Salam was the leading wicket-taker for DC, picking up three wickets but conceded 44 runs. Kuldeep Yadav also scalped two wickets, while Anrich Nortje, Mukesh Kumar, and Axar Patel shared one each.
