When is India's next match in 2024 T20 World Cup?

India's fourth and final group match of the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida, on Saturday, June 15 was abandoned due to wet outfield. Multiple inspections took place, but eventually the Group A match was washed out without even the toss taking place.

The match being abandoned, however, did not have any bearing on the qualification for the Super 8 round. The Men in Blue had already qualified for the next stage of the ICC event by virtue of winning their first three group games. On the other hand, Canada had been knocked out, having lost two of their first three group matches.

Team India will look to continue their impressive run in the 2024 T20 World Cup in the Super 8 stage as well in their endeavor to end their ICC title drought.

India will take on a confident Afghanistan in their first Super 8 match of the 2024 T20 World Cup

India's first Super 8 clash in the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup will be against Afghanistan at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on Thursday, June 20. The Group 1 Super 8 clash will begin at 8:00 PM IST and 10:30 AM local time.

Like Team India, Afghanistan are also unbeaten in the tournament so far. They have played three matches in Group C and have won all three games by comprehensive margins.

Afghanistan began their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign with a match against Uganda at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The Asian side clinched the contest by 125 runs. Batting first, Afghanistan put up 183-5 on the board in their 20 overs and then bundled out Uganda for 58 in 16 overs.

In their second group match, Afghanistan came up with another clinical performance in Guyana to get the better of New Zealand by 84 runs. Batting first, they put up a competitive 159-6 on the board and then rolled over the Kiwis for 75 in 15.2 overs.

Afghanistan confirmed their berth in the Super 8 round of the 2024 T20 World Cup with a thumping seven-wicket triumph over Papua New Guinea (PNG) in Trinidad. Bowling first, they knocked over PNG for 95 in 19.5 overs and then chased down the score in 15.1 overs.

Before the Super 8 match against India, Afghanistan will take on West Indies in their last Group C match at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia on Tuesday, June 18.
