When is Team India's next match in BGT 2024-25?

Australia hammered India by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday, December 8, in the second Test of the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. In a match that lasted under three days, the Aussies dominated proceedings from start to end to level the series 1-1.

Batting first after winning the toss, India were bowled out for 180 in 44.1 overs as Mitchell Starc starred with 6-48. Australia responded with 337 to gain a significant first innings lead of 157. Travis Head again stood in India's way, hammering 140 off 141 balls with the aid of 17 fours and four sixes.

The visitors struggled with the bat in the second innings as well and were knocked over for 175 in 36.5 overs. This time, Australian skipper Pat Cummins was the standout performer with 5-57. The Aussies needed only 19 runs to win the Test match and got home in 3.2 overs.


India vs Australia 3rd BGT 2024-25 Test: Date, Venue and IST timings

With the five-match series level 1-1, India and Australia will meet in the third Test at The Gabba in Brisbane from December 14 to December 18. The Test will begin at 5:50 AM IST and 10:20 AM local time. The match will be significant for both teams keeping qualification for the World Test Championship (WTC) final in mind. Australia and India are currently second and third respectively in the points table.

India and Australia have clashed seven times in Test matches at The Gabba, with the Aussies winning five matches and India one, while one game ended in a draw. The visitors registered a famous three-wicket win at the venue during their previous Test tour Down Under in 2020-21.

Batting first, Australia put up 369 on the board even as T Natarajan, Shardul Thakur, and Washington Sundar picked up three wickets each. In response, India were in trouble at 186-6, but Thakur (67) and Sundar (62) lifted India with a seventh-wicket stand of 123. The visitors ended up posting 336.

In the second innings, Australia were all-out for 294 as Mohammed Siraj starred with 5-73, while Thakur again impressed with 4-61. Set to chase a challenging target of 328, Team India registered a famous win courtesy of Shubman Gill (91) and Rishabh Pant (89*).
