When is Team India's next match in the ODI series against Sri Lanka?

India and Sri Lanka played out a thrilling tie in the first ODI at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday, August 2. Batting first, the Lankans recovered from 101-5 to post 230-8 as Dunith Wellalage hit 67* off 65 balls. In reply, India slipped from 75-0 to 132-5. The visitors launched a fightback, but Charith Asalanka claimed two wickets in two balls as the game ended in an incredible tie.

The Lankans decided to bat first after winning the toss but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Wellalage, however, held the innings together and found some support from Janith Liyanage (20), Wanindu Hasaranga (24), and Akila Dananjaya (17) as the hosts ended up posting a fighting total on a pitch that had something in it for the slow bowlers.

Chasing 231, skipper Rohit Sharma (58 off 47) got India off to a great start. The visitors, however, lost their way once the opening stand was broken. KL Rahul (31) and Axar Patel (33) led India's fightback. But Sri Lankan captain Asalanka dismissed Shivam Dube (25) and Arshdeep Singh (0) off consecutive deliveries to tie the nail-biting contest.
