When is Team India's next match in the ODI series against Sri Lanka?

India went down to Sri Lanka by 32 runs in the second ODI at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, August 4. With the impressive win, the Lankans took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The opening match of the series at the same venue had ended in a tie.

Batting first after winning the toss in the second one-dayer, Sri Lanka put up 240-9. Avishka Fernando and Kamindu Mendis were the joint top-scorers for the hosts with 40 each, while Dunith Wellalage contributed 39 off 35 and Kusal Mendis 30 off 40. For India, Washington Sundar starred with 3-30, while Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets for 33 runs.

In their chase, the Men in Blue got off to a brilliant start yet again as skipper Rohit Sharma slammed 64 off 44. However, for the second match in a row, Team India lost their way after their captain's dismissal.

India crumbled from 116-1 to 208 all out as Jeffrey Vandersay registered sensational figures of 6-33, while Sri Lankan skipper Charith Asalanka picked up 3-20 with his off-spin.


India's next match against Sri Lanka: Date, Time, Venue

The third and final ODI of the series between India and Sri Lanka will also be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday, August 7. The game will get underway at 2:30 p.m. IST, while the toss will be at 2 p.m. The Men in Blue now need to win the third one-dayer to square the series 1-1.

In India, the live telecast of the third India vs Sri Lanka ODI in Colombo will be available on Sony Sports network channels. The game can be followed live on Sony Sports Ten 1 [English], Sony Sports Ten 3 [Hindi], Sony Sports Ten 4 [Tamil I Telugu] and Sony Sports Ten 5 [English]. The last time India failed to win a bilateral series against Sri Lanka was in December 1997.

On that occasion, the three-match series in India was tied 1-1. The Men in Blue won the first match in Guwahati by seven wickets, while the second in Indore produced ano result. Sri Lanka then beat India by five wickets in the final ODI in Margao to square the series 1-1.
