When is Team India's next match in the T20I series against South Africa?

Team India hammered South Africa by 61 runs in the first T20I played at Kingsmead in Durban on Friday, November 8. Sent into bat by the Proteas, the Men in Blue put up 202-8 on the board in their 20 overs. In reply, the hosts were bowled out for 141 in 17.5 overs.

Opening the innings, Sanju Samson played an outstanding knock, slamming 107 off only 50 balls. The right-handed batter clobbered seven fours and 10 sixes in his second consecutive ton in T20Is. Samson scored 111 off 47 balls in the third T20I against Bangladesh in Hyderabad last month.

After Samson's ton lifted the Men in Blue to a big score, leg-spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi claimed three wickets each to stifle South Africa in the chase. Pacer Avesh Khan also chipped in with two wickets. For the Proteas, Heinrich Klaasen top-scored with 25, while Gerald Coetzee slammed 23 off 11.


India vs South Africa 2024 2nd T20I: Date and Time in IST

The second T20I of the series between India and South Africa will be played at St George's Park in Gqeberha on Sunday, November 10. The game will begin at 7:30 PM IST and 4:00 PM local time. While the Men in Blue will look to carry on the momentum from the Durban triumph, South Africa need to get their act together.

Team India and South Africa have clashed once at St George's Park in Gqeberha. The match took place in December 2023 during the Men in Blue's previous tour to South Africa. The Proteas won the contest by five wickets (DLS method).

Bowling first after winning the toss, the hosts held India to 180-7 as Coetzee starred with 3-32, while Tabraiz Shamsi registered economical figures of 1-18. For the visitors, Rinku Singh slammed 68* off 39, while Suryakumar Yadav hit 56 off 36. Chasing a revised target of 152 in 15 overs, South Africa got home courtesy of Reeza Hendricks (49 off 27) and Aiden Markram (30 off 17).

Coming back to the ongoing series, following the second T20I in Gqeberha, the third match will be played at SuperSport Park in Centurion on November 13. The series will conclude with the fourth and final T20I at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on November 15.
