When is Team India's next match in the World Test Championship? Date, Time & Opposition
Team India went down to New Zealand by 25 runs on Sunday, November 3 in the third and final Test of the series played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. As a result of the loss, the hostshad suffered a 3-0 whitewash at home, a first in their Test history.
Having been outdone in Bengaluru and Pune, India would have been desperate to avoid a 3-0 result by winning the Mumbai Test. They managed to get a first-innings lead of 28 runs. Ravindra Jadeja's second five-fer of the game then ensured India had to chase a target of under 150. They, however, folded up for 121.
Rohit Sharma and Co. now need to win the five-match Test series in Australia 4-0 to confirm their place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. They can qualify otherwise as well, but will need plenty of results to go their way.
