"When Virat Kohli approached me to bake a cake" - Baker recalls baking Classic Chocolate cake for Anushka Sharma's birthday
Uthishta Kumar, a baker from Bengaluru, had been requested by Virat Kohli to bake a cake for wife Anushka Sharma's birthday earlier this year. On the eighth anniversary of her baking, Uthishta took to her Instagram account to share the story of how she baked the cake for the celebrity couple.
She uploaded her picture with Kohli and Anushka and also shared a photo of the classic chocolate cake that she had prepared for the Bollywood actress' birthday. It was her speciality and she felt that such a special occasion needed the classic chocolate cake to make it even better.
Here's what Uthista wrote as caption to her post:
"When Virat Kohli approached me to bake a cake for Anushka Sharma's birthday, I knew I had to create something special! Nothing quite like a classic chocolate cake for a birthday celebration!"
She further wrote:
"From baking in my mum's oven over the weekends to making a cake for one of the most accomplished sportsmen of our era, it's been an amazing journey over the last eight years! Here's to many more years of baking special cakes for all my wonderful customers! ❤️"
Kohli has been pretty vocal about how important a part Anushka has played in his life and his transformation as a human being. No wonder he wanted to make her birthday special.
Virat Kohli dedicated his T20 World Cup win to Anushka Sharma
Just a day after India's T20 World Cup triumph, Virat Kohli took to Instagram to dedicate his success to his wife and to express how grateful he was to have Anushka Sharma's support him during all times. On this, here's what he wrote:
"None of this would remotely be possible without you my love. You keep me humble, grounded and you always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn’t be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it’s mine. Thank you and I love you for being YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ @anushkasharma"
Despite a difficult T20 World Cup campaign where he scored just 75 runs in his first six innings, Kohli stepped up when it mattered the most in the final and won the Player of the Match award for his knock of 76. India beat South Africa by seven runs to clinch the title.
