When will the 2024 Duleep Trophy Round 3 matches be played?

The second round of the 2024 Duleep Trophy concluded on Sunday, September 15. India A beat India D by 186 runs at the Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur. In the other match of the second round, India C drew a high-scoring encounter with India B at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B in Anantapur.

Looking at the points table after two rounds of the 2024 Duleep Trophy, India C occupy the first position, having registered one win and one draw. They beat India D by 10 wickets in round one, while they also had the first-innings lead in the drawn match against India B. India B are in second position with seven points, while India A are third with six points. India D are yet to get off the mark.

The third and final round of the 2024 Duleep Trophy will be played from September 19 to September 22. India B will face India D at the ACA ADCA Ground in Anantapur, while India A will be up against India C at Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur.

The team which finished highest on the points table after round three will be declared winners of the 2024 Duleep Trophy. Seven points are awarded to teams for innings win/win by 10 wickets, while they get six points for an outright win. The side taking the first-innings lead in a drawn game gets three points, while the team failing to get the first-innings lead in a drawn match gets one point.


Meet the heroes of the 2024 Duleep Trophy from round 2

All-rounder Shams Mulani was the Player of the Match as India A beat India D by 186 runs in the 2024 Duleep Trophy round two clash. He scored 89 off 187 in the first innings, while Tanush Kotian contributed 53 off 80 as India A recovered from 144-6 to post 290. He also chipped in with four wickets with his left-arm spin.

Pratham Singh (122) and Tilak Varma (111*) hit fine tons for India A in the second innings. Kotian also chipped in with four scalps in the second innings. For India D, Harshit Rana claimed four wickets in the first innings, while Devdutt Padikkal contributed 92 in the first innings and Ricky Bhui 113 in the second essay.

In the drawn clash between India B and India C, Ishan Kishan (111) and Abhimanyu Easwaran (157*) hit impressive hundreds in the first innings. With the ball, Anshul Kamboj starred with figures of 8-69, while Mukesh Kumar and Rahul Chahar picked up first-innings four-fers.
