Who was the most expensive uncapped player at IPL 2025 Auction?
The IPL 2025 Auction concluded a few hours ago in Jeddah. The 10 IPL franchises have stacked up their squads with world-class cricketers for the next three editions of the Indian Premier League.
Unlike mini auctions, IPL teams refrained from spending big for the uncapped players at the mega auction. The most expensive uncapped player of IPL 2025 Auction was Indian pacer Rasikh Salam Dar, signed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for ₹6 crore.
Known for his death bowling skills, Rasikh Salam Dar entered the IPL 2025 Auction with a base price of ₹30 lakh. Royal Challengers Bengaluru bid for him straightaway. Sunrisers Hyderabad engaged in a bidding war with RCB for Dar, but RCB eventually signed him for ₹2 crore.
Dar's former team Delhi Capitals used the RTM card when RCB signed him for ₹2 crore, but RCB then increased his price to ₹6 crore, forcing DC to pull out.

Uncapped players have always been underrated in IPL. Until last season, the uncapped category only featured the players who had never played an international match. However, from 2025 onwards, capped Indian players who have not played an international game in the last five years are also included in the uncapped category.
