Who are the Indian cricket team’s coaching staff for IND vs SL 2024 ODI series?

Team India are currently taking on Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series, which is being contested at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Incidentally, this series marks the first 50-over assignment featuring the Men in Blue in 2024, having last played an ODI series in South Africa in December 2023.

After the 2024 men's T20 World Cup, Rahul Dravid's tenure came to an end. Under his guidance, Team India won the latest edition of the T20 World Cup while ending as the losing finalists in the ODI World Cup and the World Test Championship 2021-2023. Along with Dravid's term, the terms of Vikram Rathour and Paras Mhambrey, India's batting and bowling coaches respectively, also came to an end.

Recently, Gautam Gambhir was appointed as the head coach of the Indian men's team. The former Indian opener enjoyed great success as the mentor of his former side, Kolkata Knight Riders, helping them go all the way and win the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) title for the third time in the franchise's history.

Gambhir has been appointed as the head coach of India until 2027. Abhishek Nayar and Ryan Ten Doeschate have been appointed as assistant coaches, with the Dutch being the first overseas coach for India in over nine years.

Sairaj Bahutule is the current bowling coach. The former Mumbai bowler has been added to the set-up on an interim basis. T Dilip has been retained as the fielding coach of the side. It remains to be seen whether the same coaching staff will be retained with the BCCI yet to make a formal announcement.
