Why is Rishabh Pant not playing today’s IND vs SL 3rd T20I?
Team India's Rishabh Pant won't be seen in action during the ongoing third and final T20I of the side's series against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, July 30. The match is being played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.
Pant was part of India's playing XI for the first two fixtures of the series. He missed out on a half-century in the opening encounter, getting out on 49 runs off 33 deliveries. He remained unbeaten on two off as many balls in the second T20I.
With the series already in the pocket after their back-to-back victories in the first two games, India rested four players, including Pant for the dead rubber. Apart from Pant, the likes of Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Arshdeep Singh were also rested.

Rishabh Pant is part of India's ODI squad for three-match series against Sri Lanka
After the completion of the ongoing T20I series, India and Sri Lanka will lock horns in three ODIs. Rishabh Pant is part of India's squad for the 50-over matches as well.
Rohit Sharma will continue to lead India's 50-over side, while senior batter Virat Kohli will also take part in the series. The first ODI will be played at R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday, August 2.
The remaining two matches will also be played at the same venue. The second and third ODIs will take place on August 4 and August 7, respectively.
