Women's Asia Cup 2024 semifinals: Schedule, venues, IST timings and live streaming details

The group stage of the 2024 Women's Asia Cup ended with a match between Thailand Women and Sri Lanka Women at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla on Wednesday, July 24. Sri Lanka hammered Thailand by 10 wickets in the Group B match to register a thoroughly comprehensive triumph.

Batting first after winning the toss, Thailand Women were held to 93-7. Nannapat Koncharoenkai top-scored with 47* off 53 balls but failed to get much support. For Sri Lanka Women, Kavisha Dilhari claimed 2-13 from her four overs, while four bowlers claimed one wicket each. Sri Lanka gunned down the target in 11.3 overs as Chamari Athapaththu hit 49* off 35 and Vishmi Gunaratne 39* off 34.

In the earlier Women's Asia Cup 2024 match, Bangladesh beat Malaysia by 114 runs. Batting first after winning the toss in another Group B match, Bangladesh posted 191-2 as Murshida Khatun hammered 80 off 59 and Nigar Sultana 62* off 37. Nahida Akter then claimed 2-13 as Malaysia were restricted to 77-8.


Women's Asia Cup 2024: Semifinals schedule

Following the conclusion of the group stage, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have qualified for the Women's Asia Cup 2024 semifinals.

India will face Bangladesh in the first semifinal at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Friday, July 26. Sri Lanka and Pakistan will clash in the second semifinal at the same venue on the same evening.

Sri Lanka topped Group B, with six points from three matches. They beat Bangladesh by seven wickets, Malaysia by 144 runs and Thailand by 10 wickets. Bangladesh took second place in Group B, with four points from three matches. After going down to Sri Lanka by seven wickets, they beat Thailand and Malaysia by seven wickets and 114 runs, respectively.
